Thanksgiving

Hoping everyone had a nice Thanksgiving. Our Thanksgiving here was spent in the hospital. Chance has been fighting a nasty cold and it finally got the best of him. I took him to Emergency Room after losing the fight on getting his temperature to come back down. He was showing signs of Dehydration and his temp was very high. He was admitted to the hospital, his Pedia thought he had Pnuemonia because of what the first chest xray indicated, but his lungs sounded clear and the second x ray proved he was clear so I was happy about that. He was confined to the hospital until Saturday afternoon. It was a long few days. He doesnt do well sitting still and poor little guy was not happy having the IV and being immobilized as much as he was.

I finally let him walk the halls pushing the IV holder behind him. He was a good sport though. Each day being poked... by the second day, when the Drs and Nurses would poke him, he would cry and say "Why?" it was endearing, I would have done anything to trade him places.

Chance has a special way of drawing people to him. In no time at all he had all the nurses and Drs, wrapped around his finger. They all made special trips to the room to say hello and check in and just to play with Chance. He loved pulling things out their pockets on their jackets, playing with their ID, and listing to his and their heart with stethescope.

We are happy to be back home and in our own beds.
